A combination of perfection, unparalleled work ethic and humility, actor Eddy Kariti was born on May 14, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, in a family of five children. His father, Amir Kariti was an actor turned director, and his mother Anushka was a medical nurse.
Ever since he was a child, Eddy was interested in acting. During high school, he participated in almost every theater play. That helped the actor break the ice, and further deepen his passion for acting. Kariti studied at New York Scottish School and graduated from McIntire School with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. Once school was over he immediately headed for Los Angeles where he studied acting in one of the most prestige schools. Here he was able to make a lot of connections that helped him get his first professional gig.
Determined to prove himself as an actor Kariti enrolled in Abram’s acting classes. He wanted to learn about cinematography and the finer nuances of filmmaking and he assisted his father on several films. After appearing in several films in the 1990s as a child star, Kariti made his debut as a lead actor in Rising Star from the North and there has been no looking back ever since. Mr. Kariti single-handedly redefined the stereotypical teen film hero with his talent, commitment and hard work.
Eddy Kariti debuted on the big screen in the movie “Chaser”. The following year he was cast for the role of Stan in the comedy sitcom Alfa Dogs. More success followed him, as he was chosen as one of the lucky ones to appear in the Broadway adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar.
